Mood: Dark and moody.
Atmosphere: The track feels dark and moody with a hint of aggression.
Aesthetic: Paired with my irezumi tattoos and a dark gothic outfit.
Outfit/Setting: I'd be at a dark underground club, wearing my leather jacket and black studded boots. The crowd is wild and the energy is intense. The only light comes from the stage where the band is playing. The vibe is raw and unfiltered.
🎛️ Solana Conejo's engineer notes
As I sit down to work on Dajai's latest track, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The track, "Fuck They Ass Up," is a powerful and emotional freestyle, and I know that my job as an engineer is to help bring out the best in Dajai's voice and deliver a killer mix.
One of the first things I notice about this track is the delivery and flow of Dajai's vocals. He has a really unique cadence and rhythm to his delivery, which makes the track feel fresh and exciting. The way he phrases certain words and inflects others gives the track a lot of character and personality.
As I listen through the vocal takes, I start to notice some interesting production elements in Dajai's performance. There are several doubles and ad-libs throughout the track, which add a lot of depth and interest to the mix. The way he stacks his vocals in certain sections really brings the track to life and adds a lot of dimension to it.
Overall, I'm really impressed with Dajai's approach to this track. His unique delivery and flow, combined with the thoughtful use of doubles and ad-libs, make for a really compelling and engaging listen. As an engineer, my job is to help bring out the best in Dajai's performance, and I think we've definitely achieved that on this track.
🎥 Mykina's BTS journal
I watched as the HBU cast poured their hearts into the shoot for "Dajai.io – $298,344 Freestyle (Fuck They Ass Up)." The room was alive with energy, everyone focused and immersed in the performance.
One specific moment that caught my attention was when one of the performers had a small mishap with their prop, but instead of letting it ruin their performance, they managed to shake it off and continue with an unwavering commitment to their character. It was a testament to their professionalism and dedication to the craft.
Behind-the-scenes, I noticed that despite the intensity of the shoot, there was a sense of camaraderie and support among the cast and crew. They were all working together to create something truly special. Overall, it was an incredible experience to be a part of such a talented group of artists.
