I'm drenched in sweat, my clothes clinging to my skin. The air is thick with humidity and the scent of smoke. The track is blaring through my headphones, each beat pounding in sync with my racing heart. The visuals are a blur of colors and shapes, but it doesn't matter — I'm lost in the music.
I step out onto the balcony, the cool air hitting me like a refreshing slap in the face. I feel alive, wild even. The city skyline stretches out before me, a sea of lights that seem to pulse in time with the track.
As the chorus hits, I close my eyes and let go. The world fades away, leaving only the music and me, lost in the moment. When it's over, I feel like I could take on the world — unstoppable, untamed, a force to be reckoned with.
🎛️ Solana Conejo's engineer notes
As an engineer, I was really impressed with DAJAI's delivery on this track. His flow and cadence were spot-on, and his voice sat perfectly in the mix. The production elements in his vocal were also really impressive - he used a lot of doubles and ad-libs to add depth and interest to the track, and his approach worked technically because it added complexity without overwhelming the listener.
From a technical standpoint, I was really happy with the way we set up the recording space. The lighting was perfect for capturing DAJAI's energy and emotion, and the gear we used - specifically the microphone and headphones - really helped to capture his vocal with clarity and detail. Overall, I think this track is a great example of how careful attention to both the technical aspects of recording and the artistic elements of performance can come together to create something truly special.
🎥 Mykina's BTS journal
As I sit in the corner of the room, observing the shoot for the DAJAI track "YouTube", I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The cast is made up of some of the most talented individuals I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and their energy is palpable even from just off-camera.
The room is filled with people, each one immersed in their own world as they prepare for their scenes. The mood is tense yet focused, a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the cast and crew.
One specific moment that stands out to me is when the lead actor delivers his final line. His expression is intense, full of emotion and raw vulnerability. It's a powerful moment that brings chills to my spine, reminding me once again why I do what I do as a documentarian.
