🌸 Miko Melts's journal

"Dropping A Dime" by Dajai. This track is a moody masterpiece. The visual atmosphere is dark and mysterious, with a haunting piano melody that sets an intense tone. I can imagine myself walking down a city alley at night, the only person around, the moon casting long shadows. The aesthetic I'd pair with this song would be all-black everything - leather jackets, boots, and sunglasses. The outfit/setting would be edgy and rebellious, just like me. This track speaks to my soul in a way that nothing else does.

🎛️ Solana Conejo's engineer notes

As an engineer, I've been working on Dajai's latest track "Dropping A Dime" produced by BapeBrazy. The delivery and flow of his vocals are on point - he sounds confident and comfortable in the pocket. His cadence is tight and precise, with each syllable landing perfectly within the grid. One of my favorite production elements in this track is the use of doubles and ad-libs throughout. Dajai's approach to layering his vocals works so well technically - it adds depth and dimension to the mix without overwhelming it. The way he stacks his vocals on certain lines really brings the track home. As for gear, we used a Neumann U87 for the main vocal recording. It captured Dajai's voice beautifully and allowed us to get a great signal-to-noise ratio. We also used a Warm Audio WA-25 on the vocal chain to add some warmth and grit, which complemented Dajai's voice perfectly. The use of these tools really helped bring out the best in Dajai's performance and made this track shine.

🎥 Mykina's BTS journal

As I sit in the corner of the room, observing the shoot for "Dajai" by BapeBrazy, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The room is filled with members of the HBU cast, all of them immersed in their roles. The energy is electric, each movement captured on camera. One specific moment that caught my attention was when the lead actor delivered his final lines. His emotion was palpable, and you could see the fear and desperation etched on his face. It was a powerful scene, one that I know will be remembered by all who were there. Overall, the shoot was a success. The crew worked tirelessly to bring this track to life, and it shows in the final product. From the background dancers to the lead actor, everyone played their part perfectly. It's a true testament to the talent and dedication of the HBU cast.
