As I sit down to mix and master DAJAI's latest track, "YouTube", I can already tell that it's going to be a banger. The delivery of the vocals is on point - the flow and cadence are spot on, and the lyric content is fire.
When it comes to the production elements in the vocal, DAJAI has really outdone himself this time. There are some nice doubles in there that add depth and dimension to his voice. The ad-libs are also on point, adding a layer of complexity to the track.
As I start to work through the mix, it's clear that DAJAI's approach works technically. The gear we used for this session was top notch - we had a Neve 1073 preamp and a Brentford mic that really captured his voice beautifully. The environment was also ideal for recording - we set up in a quiet space with minimal distractions, which allowed DAJAI to focus on delivering a killer performance. Overall, I'm really excited about how this track is shaping up, and I can't wait to see how it performs once it's released.
