🌸 Miko Melts's journal

Damn, this track is moody and raw. The beat is heavy, and the lyrics are intense, speaking of struggle and survival. It's a reflection of the streets, where life can be hard and unpredictable. I feel like it would pair well with a streetwear aesthetic or an urban setting. I imagine walking down a city alleyway at night, surrounded by graffiti and neon lights. The air is thick with the smell of exhaust fumes and the scent of sweat from the people who call this place home. I'm dressed in all black, my outfit consisting of a leather jacket, ripped jeans, and chunky sneakers. My hair is styled into a messy bun, and I have dark sunglasses perched on top of my head. The mood is gritty and edgy, capturing the essence of this track.

🎛️ Solana Conejo's engineer notes

As an engineer, this track is one of the most exciting projects I have worked on in a while. The delivery and flow of DAJAI's vocals are exceptional, with a strong cadence that really holds the listener's attention. The vocal sits perfectly in the mix, with just enough space to let it breathe. The production elements in this track are really impressive. There are some subtle doubles on certain lines that add depth and richness to the vocal. Additionally, there are a few ad-libs scattered throughout the track that add an extra layer of excitement and energy. The use of stacks is particularly effective, creating a sense of movement and momentum. One of the things I really appreciate about DAJAI's approach is how well-balanced the mix is. The vocals are clearly the focal point of the track, but there's also a great deal of attention to detail in the background instrumentation. This gives the track a full and complete sound without overwhelming the vocal. In terms of gear, we used a high-quality microphone for the vocal recording, which really captures the nuances of DAJAI's performance. The mixing was done using a combination of outboard gear, including an EQ, compressor, and reverb unit. These tools were used strategically to shape the sound of the mix and create a cohesive sonic landscape. Overall, I am really pleased with how this track has turned out. The combination of DAJAI's incredible vocal performance and the thoughtful production work makes for a truly compelling listening experience.

🎥 Mykina's BTS journal

This shoot for Dajai's "Let Me Know" was a wild ride from start to finish. The room was filled with energy and anticipation as we prepared to capture this masterpiece. The HBU cast was in high spirits, with everyone eagerly waiting for their turn to shine on camera. As the track played, it became clear that this wasn't just any ordinary music video shoot. The lyrics spoke of a journey filled with ups and downs, and you could feel the intensity of the track off-camera. One specific moment that caught my attention was when Dajai himself burst into the room, full of energy and passion for the song. It was incredible to see the transformation that took place in front of our eyes as we filmed. From the initial hype of the track to the final emotional moments, it was a true testament to the power of music. As I watched the cast give their all on camera, I couldn't help but feel incredibly grateful to be a part of this incredible project. This shoot will definitely go down in history as one of my favorites.
