I'm feeling a mix of nostalgia and sadness while listening to this track. The mood is dark and moody, perfectly setting the tone for an irezumi tattoo session or a late-night stroll through the city. The visual atmosphere is gritty and urban, with a hint of rebelliousness. I would pair this track with an edgy outfit like leather jackets and ripped jeans, set against a backdrop of dimly lit streets and graffiti-covered walls. This song conjures up memories of my past and the places I've been, evoking a sense of wanderlust and longing for something more.
🎛️ Solana Conejo's engineer notes
As an engineer, I've been really impressed with the delivery and flow on this DAJAI track. The cadence is spot-on, and it really makes the lyrics stand out. The vocal sits well in the mix, and the production elements are really well done. The doubles and ad-libs add a lot of depth to the track, and the use of stacks gives it a really big sound.
From a technical standpoint, the choice of microphone was key to getting such a great vocal performance. We used a Neumann U47 for the main vocal, which is known for its warmth and clarity. The preamp we used also played a big role in shaping the sound of the vocal. Overall, I'm really happy with how this track turned out.
🎥 Mykina's BTS journal
I was stationed in the corner of the room, watching the HBU cast as they shot the music video for this DAJAI track. The energy in the room was electric, and everyone seemed to be completely immersed in their performance. The lead singer, a young man with a powerful voice, was in the middle of the frame, surrounded by his backup singers who were all singing along with him.
One specific moment that caught my attention was when the lead singer broke into a stunning high note towards the end of the track. It was as if time had stopped and everyone in the room was simply awestruck by the raw emotion and talent displayed.
Aside from the singers, there were also several members of the production team present, all focused on capturing the perfect shot. The lighting crew was busy adjusting the lights to match the mood of the track, while the camera operators were carefully framing each shot. It was a complex operation that required everyone's attention and cooperation.
Despite the flurry of activity, there was a sense of harmony in the room as everyone worked together towards the same goal. It was clear that this was more than just a music video shoot - it was a labor of love for all involved.
